Job summary

Vogt Power International in Louisville, KY seeks a Procurement Specialist to oversee purchase orders on assigned projects, manage supplier agreements, and ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering or business, at least five years of steel fabrication procurement experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel internationally with a valid passport.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science degree in engineering or BS in business.
• Five years of experience with general steel fabrication management practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in managing subcontracts or other project-based procurement activities.
• Well-organized, results-oriented sourcing professional with integrity and time management.
• Must have valid passport for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage agreements with subcontractors and communicate scope changes.
• Coordinate pricing, delivery, and capabilities with subcontractors and Project Manager.
• Develop sourcing plans and monitor subcontractor performance (cost, schedule, reports).
• Create RFQs and evaluate subcontractor quotations to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Ensure suppliers are approved sources with up-to-date certifications.
• Prepare and issue final commercial documents prior to Purchase Orders.
• Submit Bid Evaluations in DMS per guidelines.
• Review DCAP packages for accuracy and completeness before finalizing with supplier.
• Communicate drawings, schedules, and shipping information to subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Logistics for shipping milestones and delivery.
• Support SCM objectives and Special Conditions of Purchase discussions.
• Report issues to Management and participate in required meetings.
• Participate in supplier evaluations and annual performance reviews.
