Job summary

McIver Engineering & Controls is seeking a Senior Procurement Buyer to lead end-to-end sourcing and supplier management. You will collaborate with Engineering and Operations to balance cost, delivery, and quality while expediting as needed to avoid production downtime.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in strategic sourcing with ERP and advanced Excel skills, plus strong analytical and communication abilities for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or commodity management experience in industrial automation or electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to achieve cost and delivery improvements.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, including on-time delivery and quality.
• Own POs from placement to delivery and expedite to prevent production disruption.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to meet specs and schedules.
• Identify total cost of ownership reduction through pricing and supplier negotiations.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels balancing service, cash flow, and risk.
• Analyze procurement data to drive performance and informed decisions.
• Forecast demand and plan material requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Develop supplier metrics and mitigate risks with proactive actions.
• Support continuous improvement in procurement efficiency and reliability.
