Job summary

McKenney’s is seeking a procurement professional to lead buyout activities for HVAC equipment, subcontractors, and construction materials. You will serve as a key liaison with suppliers, supporting preconstruction teams and driving cost-saving opportunities across projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of procurement experience in project-based settings, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to interpret drawings and BOMs. Office-based with periodic field visits to active jobsites.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of procurement experience in project-based or job-specific environments.
• Excellent user of MS Office and basic IT/computer skills.
• Able to interpret drawings, specs, BOM and manage priorities with limited guidance.

Responsibilities

• Reviews vendor quotes, lead times, drawings, specs, and makes buyout recommendations.
• Partners with Preconstruction and project teams on vendor selection and cost optimization.
• Creates material tracking logs and writes POs and subcontracts.
• Resolves invoice and PO discrepancies and supports process improvements.
