Job summary

Blackwood Solutions, Inc. in Bloomington, IN is seeking a motivated procurement professional to manage requisitions, issue POs, and ensure accurate inventory for Blackwood and customer-owned stock. You will collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve cycle times, with on-site work Monday–Friday.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, Excel proficiency, and familiarity with Sage Intacct/Maximo, plus an interest in AI-driven process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or a similar role.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new systems (Sage Intacct and Maximo experience is a plus).
• Curiosity about how AI can help automate routine work and improve accuracy.
• Experience in an industrial, distribution, or warehouse setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase requisitions and route them through the right approvals.
• Issue purchase orders accurately and on time.
• Record goods and services promptly in our system.
• Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve PO, receipt, and invoice mismatches.
• Track purchasing metrics, like cycle times and spend under a PO, and suggest improvements.
• Support receiving and put-away so inventory is recorded accurately and on time.
• Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories, then investigate and document variances.
• Help reconcile inventory to the general ledger each month.
• Keep customer-owned inventory tracked separately from Blackwood stock.
• Prepare customer inventory reports.
