Job summary

Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning is seeking a Procurement & Facilities Specialist to handle complex administrative duties, financial and operational data analysis, and reporting for management decisions.

The role partners with GBA and DOAS for facilities management and purchases, requiring independent judgment and potential project support. Credit checks and state purchasing card eligibility are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or related field is required.
• One year of experience related to the area of assignment is required.
• Equivalent combination of knowledge, education, or experience may substitute year-over-year.

Responsibilities

• Make purchases for the division using the State’s Purchasing Card and Team Georgia Marketplace.
• Coordinate, conduct and compile the results of the annual fixed asset process for the agency.
• Coordinate building space usage and processes building maintenance issues with the Georgia Building Authority.
• Serve as the Department’s risk management coordinator using DOAS risk management processes.
• Serve as building fire drill and emergency evacuation coordinator.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Gather, compile and analyze data for reports and insights.
• Prepare reports of findings and make management recommendations.
