State of Georgia’s Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning seeks a Procurement & Facilities Specialist in Atlanta. The role supports management through complex administrative, financial, and operational data analysis for decision making.

Under supervision, you will handle purchasing, asset management, building space, risk and emergency coordination, plus reporting. A credit check and state purchasing card eligibility are required for hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or related field required.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Experience with DOAS risk management is a plus.
• Experience with state purchasing is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Make purchases for the division using the State’s Purchasing Card and Team Georgia Marketplace.
• Coordinate, conduct and compile the results of the annual fixed asset process for the agency.
• Coordinate building space usage and maintenance with the Georgia Building Authority.
• Serve as the Department’s risk management coordinator and use DOAS risk management processes.
• Act as building fire drill and emergency evacuation coordinator.
• Gather, analyze data and prepare findings/reports for management.
