Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to evaluate suppliers and negotiate advantageous deals. You will manage PO processing, supplier records, and delivery scheduling, ensuring accurate part numbers, pricing, and lead times.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year purchasing-related experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organization and documentation skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Team player attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate suppliers, products, and services.
• Negotiate best deals with suppliers and prepare cost proposals.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain records.
• Track pricing, part numbers, delivery, and lead times.
• Schedule and verify deliveries and supplier performance.
• Build long-term supplier relationships and improve sourcing.
• Verify requisitions against master list and suggest substitutes.
• Obtain approvals from PM teams and ensure timely processing.
• Coordinate with vendors and forward orders with correct specs.
• File and organize procurement documents for easy access.
