Job summary

SYLUX Goleta, CA is seeking a Procurement Buyer for a full-time, on-site role to support engineering, manufacturing, and operations. You will generate POs, source suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure on-time deliveries while monitoring inventory and maintaining records.

The ideal candidate will have strong purchasing knowledge, supplier evaluation skills, ERP experience, and a commitment to compliance and cost optimization in a fast-moving tech environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of purchasing processes and procedures, incl. PO management and vendor documentation.
• Proven ability to source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers in tech/manufacturing.
• Solid analytical skills to interpret data, compare quotes, and track cost-saving opportunities.
• Effective communication for cross-functional collaboration and documenting purchasing activities.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems and proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Generate and process purchase orders; source and evaluate suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing and terms; ensure timely delivery of components and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal stakeholders on demand and specs.
• Resolve discrepancies in invoices, shipments, or quality issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records; support cost optimization and supplier relationships.
