Role Description

The Procurement Buyer is a full-time, on-site role based in Goleta, CA, responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities to support Sylux’s engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams. Daily responsibilities include generating and processing purchase orders, sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring timely delivery of components, materials, and services. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with internal stakeholders to understand demand and specifications, and resolving discrepancies related to invoices, shipments, or quality issues. The Procurement Buyer will maintain accurate purchasing records, support cost optimization initiatives, and help develop supplier relationships that align with company quality, safety, and compliance standards. This role requires close collaboration, clear communication, and a structured approach to supporting a fast-moving, technology-driven environment.
