Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a Purchasing professional to execute CPSR-compliant purchase orders based on approved requisitions, bids, and proposals. This role supports the Naval Electronics business with supplier management and risk assessment from Johnstown, PA or Largo, FL.

The position offers a 9/80 schedule and hybrid remote work, with relocation not available. We value experience in procurement, contracts, and cost analysis to secure best terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of experience in Purchasing.
• Ability to understand military specs and read blue prints.
• Ability to understand and adhere to all laws pertaining to procurement, contracts, breach by contract, etc.
• Knowledge of price and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Execute CPSR-compliant purchase orders from approved requisitions and bids.
• Perform general tactical duties to support purchasing activities.
• Follow supplier changes (Engineering Change Notices).
• Assist in negotiations and assess terms to minimize risk.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and resolve issues related to pricing, quality, timing, or disputes.
• Understand demand/spend profiles for commodity areas and report as needed.
• Track and report cost savings or avoidances.
• Maintain records of vendor agreements and procurement records.
• Serve as the primary contact between DRS personnel and suppliers.
