Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking a Buyer/Procurement professional to manage end-to-end acquisitions for capital equipment, IT/software, and services. You will source vendors, issue solicitations, evaluate bids, and oversee contract awards in compliance with RTD and FTA policies.

The role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, strong negotiation and cost-analysis skills, and experience with public procurement processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of procurement related experience, preferably in the public sector.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions for procurements; values vary from$250,000 to $1,000,000.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders regarding requirements, specifications, cost proposals and delivery schedules.
• Develops procurement strategies for solicitations and contracting actions.
• Conducts price and cost analyses; determines need for pre-award audits or surveys.
• Develops negotiation positions, conducts negotiations, and prepares contract documents.
• Maintains complete solicitation and contract files and records.
