Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Procurement Buyer to support timely development of new products by procuring mechanical parts in collaboration with development and partner teams.

Responsibilities include PO creation and management, workflow design with ERP integration, and managing high-usage inventory while driving cost-saving initiatives and KPI reporting. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4+ years of procurement experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations or related field.
• 4+ years of procurement/supply chain experience.
• Proficiency in inventory-management systems and MS Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchase Order Creation & Management.
• Design and implement workflows for PO generation, approval, and fulfillment with ERP or procurement systems.
• Manage High Usage and Inventory.
• Analyze consumption trends to optimize stocking of high-usage items and reduce low usage inventory.
• Negotiate annual pricing agreements and drive project execution.
• Lead cost-saving and efficiency projects and define project scopes, budgets and timelines.
• Track and report procurement KPIs to support decision making.
