Job summary

DeKalb Health in Elko, NV is seeking a highly analytical Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and supply chain activities. You will obtain quotes, process POs, monitor orders, analyze pricing, and resolve supplier issues with ownership and tenacity.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related analytical role preferred.
• Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP/MRP or purchasing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations based on price, lead time, availability, terms, and other factors.
• Create and maintain accurate purchase orders.
• Monitor open POs and follow up on late quotes, acknowledgments, and deliveries.
• Analyze pricing and identify discrepancies, unusual increases, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Investigate purchasing, pricing, quantity, and delivery issues through resolution.
• Identify alternative suppliers or sourcing options when needed.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information.
• Communicate supply risks and potential problems early.
• Work closely with internal teams to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, cost, lead time, and supplier performance.
