Job summary

Detroit Engineered Products seeks a Procurement Buyer to manage all affairs between clients and suppliers/subcontractors for fixed-price and cost-reimbursable contracts. The 10–15 month assignment will be evaluated for potential full-time procurement opportunities.

Responsibilities include RFQ/RFP/RFI processing, cost and price analyses, PO/subcontract administration, and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining compliance with procurement laws and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Experience managing procurement activities for subcontracts/purchase orders (fixed price and cost reimbursable).
• Ability to perform cost and price analyses for proposals and quotes.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement affairs between Client and suppliers/subcontractors.
• Analyze Oracle system material needs.
• Solicit RFQ/RFP/RFI and perform cost/proposal analyses.
• Negotiate proposals to meet program and cost targets.
• Prepare and administer purchase orders and subcontracts; monitor compliance.
• Ensure on-time delivery to support program requirements.
• Coordinate source selection and resolve quality/payment issues.
