Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems in Sterling Heights, MI, is seeking a Procurement Buyer to manage all affairs related to supplier sourcing and subcontracts.

You will analyze Oracle system material needs, prepare RFQs/RFPs/RFIs, perform cost and price analysis, negotiate proposals, and ensure on-time delivery to support program requirements. 3–5 years of related experience and strong communication are desired.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in procurement or a related role.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing all affairs relative to procurement duties.
• Analyze Oracle system material needs and resources.
• Prepare RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs; conduct cost and price analysis.
• Negotiate proposals to meet program and cost targets.
• Prepare and administer purchase orders and subcontracts; ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate source selection and ensure compliance with procurement laws.
