Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington is seeking an Executive Director, Presidential Engagement, a senior strategic leader reporting to the Chief of Staff to advance the President's voice, presence, and engagement in alignment with IU's vision and priorities.

The role directs presidential engagement strategy, donor relations, events, and communications across IU and external partners, coordinating with the IU Foundation and university units to ensure timely, high-impact engagement.

Responsibilities

• Leads and implements large-scale advancement initiatives with key stakeholders and leaders in the public and private sector.
• Identifies potential opportunities and cultivates relationships engaging with relevant stakeholders to develop project scope.
• Develops deep understanding of related issues, assets, and opportunities to formulate project outcomes in collaboration with unit leadership and partners.
• Stays current on emerging needs and works closely with leadership to improve operational efficiency based on industry trends.
• Manages budgets, takes on special projects, and may supervise staff in project operations.
