Job summary

Hines is seeking a Manager - Preconstruction Services in Houston to lead owner’s representative efforts across preconstruction phases. You will manage quantity take-offs, review due-diligence, solicit subcontractors, update trade databases, and support budget development from schematic through GMP milestones.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction, civil engineering or business and 2+ years in preconstruction or estimating, with strong MS Office skills and the ability to read

Qualifications

• Two+ years of pre-construction/estimating experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil Engineering or Business.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate quantity take-offs on all projects using On-Screen take-off software.
• Review all due-diligence information and analyze impact on project budgets.
• Solicit and pre-qualify subcontractors and vendors for pricing and ensure proper trade coverage.
• Update subcontractor database for our various markets.
• Analyze trade quotes through Bid Summary evaluations to secure budget control.
• Maintain all Pre-construction Services reports.
• Assist PM with review of construction drawings and distribute revised drawings.
