Job summary

Hines is seeking a Managing Director - Conceptual Construction in Houston to lead owner’s representative activities for data center projects, including design management, budgeting and scheduling, and contract negotiations.

You will drive preconstruction efforts with local and regional teams, supervise design partners, present budgets to owners, and ensure compliance with Hines standards while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years in Construction with a focus on Data Center projects.
• Experience in commercial office, residential, industrial and tenant improvement projects.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work over 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage Owner’s representative duties for consultant selection and contract negotiations.
• Oversee site master-planning, design management, budgeting and scheduling.
• Coordinate preconstruction activities with development team.
• Assist in marketing presentations to equity partners and clients.
• Interface with design teams and owners to present budgets and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standards.
