Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Irvine is seeking an experienced Estimator to support Lead Estimators and Preconstruction Manager during the preconstruction phase. You will perform quantity take-offs, value engineering, and prepare pricing for bids and GMPs, using BIM for accurate quantity take-offs and visualization.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management and at least 8 years of experience in estimating, procurement, and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience in project engineering, field supervision or purchasing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Preconstruction Manager in estimating functions.
• Coordinate trade partner bid lists for budgeting and bidding.
• Lead review meetings with owner, architect, and engineer.
• Prepare comparison analyses and explain variances to stakeholders.
• Review design documents for completion and request info as needed.
• Visit project sites to evaluate conditions and capture scope gaps.
