Job summary

Winston Taylor in Chicago seeks a Practice Operations Manager to support daily operations and financial performance of our practice groups. Reporting to the Director of Practice Operations, you will liaise between attorneys and admin teams to execute business plans, drive technology-enabled improvements, and advance strategic priorities at the practice level.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (finance/accounting preferred; JD/MBA a plus) and 5+ years in law firm or professional services

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; finance or accounting preferred; JD or MBA a plus.
5+ years in law firm operations or professional services operations.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to senior leadership.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with legal industry operations is helpful.

Responsibilities

Support daily operational and financial performance of practice groups.
Liaise between attorneys and administrative teams to execute business plans.
Drive innovation through technology and AI evaluation/adoption.
Monitor KPIs and manage budgets; support lateral integration and timekeeper utilization.
Collaborate with DPOs, Directors of Practice Operations, and Pricing Team to enhance profitability.
