Job summary

Winston Taylor LLP in Texas is seeking a Practice Operations Manager to support daily operational and financial performance for the firm’s practice groups. You will act as a strategic liaison between attorneys and admin teams, driving innovation and monitoring key metrics.

You will coordinate with practice leaders to execute plans, manage budgets, and assist personnel initiatives including lateral integration and timekeeper utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• JD or MBA plus is a plus.
• 5+ years’ experience in law firm operations or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor financial performance at department and practice group levels, including KPIs.
• Prepare reports with insights for leadership and action items for improvement.
• Collaborate with DPOs and Pricing to understand profitability and budgets.
• Support transition and integration of lateral partners and groups.
• Assist development of training programs for associates and strategic priorities.
