Job summary

Winston Taylor LLP in Chicago seeks a Practice Operations Manager to support daily operational and financial performance of the firm's practice groups, reporting to the Director of Practice Operations.

You will liaise between attorneys and administrative teams to execute business plans, drive tech-enabled efficiencies, and assist with personnel initiatives, including lateral integration and timekeeper utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, finance/accounting preferred; JD or MBA a plus.
• 5+ years in law firm operations, professional services operations, or financial/business management roles.
• Strong organizational, analytical, information-gathering, and problem-solving abilities; project management is a plus.
• Excellent written communication and well-developed oral presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operational and financial performance of the Firm’s practice groups.
• Serve as a strategic liaison between attorneys and administrative teams to execute practice group business plans.
• Collaborate with Directors of Practice Operations (DPOs) and Pricing Team to drive profitability and adoption of budgets and value-based fee arrangements.
• Drive innovation at the intersection of technology and practice operations, including AI evaluation and adoption.
