Job summary

Winston Taylor, a transatlantic law firm, seeks a Practice Operations Manager to optimize daily operations and financial performance within its practice groups. You will liaise between attorneys and admin teams, drive innovation through technology, and support lateral integration and timekeeper management.

You will monitor KPIs, work with DPOs on budgets and profitability, and help execute the firm’s strategic priorities at the practice level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• JD or MBA a plus.
• 5+ years’ experience in law firm operations or similar.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to collaborate with partners and leadership.
• Willingness to commute to office 3-4 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Monitor financial performance at department and practice group levels; report KPIs.
• Collaborate with Directors of Practice Operations and Pricing Team on profitability.
• Manage practice group expense budgets and financial reporting.
• Assist with transition and integration of lateral partners and groups.
• Support development of training programs for associates aligned with firm priorities.
• Ensure regular communication on issues related to development, business, talent, and performance.
• Drive execution of business plans and strategic initiatives with tech-enabled improvements.
