Job summary

SourceCode Communications LLC. is looking for a seasoned Senior Account Director in the San Francisco Bay Area to lead high-profile tech accounts, shape enterprise narratives, and drive growth. You will counsel senior executives, manage profitability, and mentor junior talent.

In this role you will own client strategy, oversee budgets and KPIs, and guide teams across media, analysts, and social channels to deliver impact and value for the client portfolio.

Qualifications

• Senior AD experience: you are a Senior Account Director or equivalent with 10–12+ years of agency comms.
• Owns an account from start to finish and leads client relationships, strategy and process.
• Has agency business sense: scoped programs and managed a P&L, understands budgets and resourcing.
• Team-level project management: keeps all pieces moving and aligned.
• Technical fluency and storytelling: simplifies complex tech into compelling narratives.
• People leadership: develops your team and handles performance issues, including PIPs when needed.
• Location: based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Nice to have: existing media relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level strategic direction across senior client executives and develop long-term PR plans.
• Manage crises and build thought leadership platforms; translate tech into media narratives.
• Own account health, forecast revenue, oversee contracts, KPIs, and scopes.
• Build integrated media strategies across media, analysts, and social.
• Identify opportunities for organic growth and maintain client retention.
• Lead and develop team members with clear goals and training.
• Lead adoption of new PR technologies and expand leadership into global PR.
