Job summary

Impinj is seeking a Staff Public Relations & Communications Manager to drive external communications for media, analysts, partners, and executives. You will craft stories that translate wireless semiconductor technology into compelling business narratives, manage launches, and lead a cross-functional communications program.

You will build relationships with media, analysts, and influencers, coach teams on messaging, and oversee external content and award-winning coverage.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in PR, media relations, or external communications.
• Proven track record of originating story ideas and securing earned coverage.
• Experience translating complex technology into clear business narratives, especially in semiconductors or related tech.
• Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute an integrated external communications strategy across media, analysts, corporate communications, and social media.
• Create and pitch newsworthy stories that connect Impinj technologies, customers and partners to external audiences.
• Build and deepen relationships with media, industry analysts, and influencers.
• Lead communications for product and technology launches, partner milestones, events, and executive thought leadership.
• Own and evolve Impinj’s social media strategy.
• Serve as a trusted communications partner to executives and cross-functional teams.
• Lead the relationship with our PR agency and other external resources.
• Write and edit external content such as press releases, pitches, bylines, and talking points.
• Monitor coverage, analyst perspectives, conversations, and competitive developments.
• Use performance metrics to continually improve communications programs.
