Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced Enterprise Systems Engineer to support portfolio integration across defense, intelligence, and civil government customers. This on-site role in El Segundo, CA requires building system-of-systems models and roadmaps to inform senior leaders and accelerate program delivery.

You will collaborate with government customers and Aerospace programs, applying MBSE and digital engineering to create tailored solutions while travel remains limited.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or related technical discipline.
• Typically, 4 years of increasingly responsible experience in systems engineering or space-related engineering.
• Experience in systems engineering, enterprise systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, and/or digital engineering.
• Familiar with MBSE modeling languages such as SysML and tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler and SparX EA.
• Experience with DoDAF or UAF architecture frameworks.
• Willingness to travel domestically (approx. 5-10%).
• Active TS//SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to enterprise architecture, system-of-systems engineering, and strategic planning that shapes portfolio-level missions and future landscapes.
• Develop portfolio and enterprise-level models and roadmaps to enable data-driven decisions on cross-organizational challenges.
• Bridge government organizations, internal initiatives, and commercial partners to create cohesive enterprise-level solutions.
• Pioneer innovative approaches to mission-critical problems.
• Deliver high-impact studies and actionable recommendations to senior leadership and customers.
