The role spans translating executive priorities into actionable engagement strategy, coordinating with senior leaders, and driving consistency across markets with a focus on data center siting, energy procurement, and policy risk. 50% travel expected.

Qualifications

• 11+ years in public affairs, government relations, communications, community engagement, political strategy, or senior advisory roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, communications, public affairs, political science, business, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience advising a senior executive or elected official, including representing that leader’s position in their absence.
• Experience shaping strategy at portfolio or enterprise scale, not just executing programs.
• Experience operating at the intersection of policy and communications, with ability to drive strategy in both domains.
• Experience working with regionally distributed teams and influencing colleagues who don’t report to you.
• Experience influencing senior executives and driving decisions without direct authority across multiple functions (5+).
• Experience handling highly confidential information in politically sensitive environments.
• Demonstrated excellence in executive-level written communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic partner to the Director of Community Engagement, shaping the team’s direction and multi-year agenda.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on initiatives ensuring community engagement considerations are reflected in infrastructure and policy efforts.
• Represent the Community Engagement Team in cross-functional forums and executive reviews, carrying the team’s position with sound judgment.
• Frame leadership decisions by surfacing tradeoffs and making clear recommendations.
• Develop executive briefings, memos, and narrative materials on stakeholder dynamics and risk.
• Define standards for engaging communities across Meta’s data center portfolio and establish governance thresholds.
• Design operating models, playbooks, and decision frameworks to scale engagement with growth.
• Shape enterprise narrative architecture for data centers and community impact across markets.
• Lead high-stakes scenarios alongside the Director, ensuring timely escalation when needed.
• Monitor emerging policy and risk related to data center siting, energy procurement, and operations.
• Build early-warning insights on market shifts and Meta’s leverage.
• Coordinate with Regional Leads to translate market realities into enterprise strategy.
• Provide strategic support to Regional Leads on complex or sensitive situations.
