Job summary

Meta Platforms, Inc. is hiring two Regional Managers to lead our data center Community Engagement teams across the United States.

One position is preferred in the Western US and one in the Eastern US; you will oversee Community Engagement Managers and drive local initiatives within data center communities. You will coordinate cross-functional work with site selection, policy, communications, and public affairs, advocate for community interests, and build external relationships with stakeholders

Qualifications

• 10+ years in public affairs, nonprofit, government relations, or public-facing engagement.
• Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, external affairs, business field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with nonprofit grants, donation, and corporate social responsibility planning
• Experience to communicate and work with highly confidential information
• Experience with communication, organizational and program management skills, with the experience to manage multiple projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience collaborating and building productive cross-functional and working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersExperience with local and state policy and legislative processes. Experience with understanding of legislative proceedings and planning at a local level

Responsibilities

• Support our community engagement strategy in data center communities in a particular geographic area.
• Advocate for community interests with cross-functional partners to ensure priorities are represented in infrastructure planning and decision-making.
• Lead a team of community engagement managers, providing direction, coaching, and accountability for programs across regional data center markets.
• Develop strategies to build a broader profile and reputation for Meta in assigned communities.
• Build and enhance external relationships with stakeholders and officials.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to align goals with local community strategies and advance them at market level.
• Monitor local community needs and report risks to leadership.
• Lead integrated planning across External Affairs with a focus on communications, events, and project initiatives.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 75%).
