Job summary

Tucson Electric Power Company is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to lead a team of Supervisors and Managers in governance, risk management, and delivery of utility operations projects. You will partner with Energy Resources and Delivery leaders to align the portfolio with strategic priorities and ensure timely value realization.

The role emphasizes leadership development, data-driven decision making, and adherence to PMP standards while driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven track record delivering complex programs and capital plans.
• Extensive experience in program & project management including portfolio planning, risk management, prioritization, scheduling and budgeting.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of electric utility systems, information technology systems and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience supervising staff and working with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement long- and short-term strategic changes to assigned work groups.
• Oversee the development of annual portfolio and project plans, including prioritization, risk ranking, scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
• Monitor portfolios, programs and projects to ensure timelines, milestones, functionality, and budgets are met.
• Collaborate with leaders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Provide performance, risk and predictive indicators to senior leaders to optimize execution.
• Establish predictive analytics to forecast bottlenecks, capacity constraints and budget variances.
• Advocate Lean Six Sigma and data analysis to identify improvements and cost savings.
• Oversee staff development, training and supervisory capability.
