Job summary

EnerMech is seeking an experienced PMO/Portfolio Manager to lead demand management, portfolio governance and cross-functional delivery for complex energy projects. You will coordinate with business and technology leaders to balance demand, capacity, and objectives, while driving continuous improvement and executive-level reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in PMO/portfolio or project management roles, including 3+ years in a PMO lead or manager role within an IT function.
• Hands-on experience running demand intake, triage and prioritisation across BAU and project work.
• Experience managing change requests and defects for an ERP or other business-critical systems, including working with third-party support partners.
• Experience with resource and capacity planning across multiple teams.
• Track record of producing reporting and papers for executive committees and steering committees.
• Recognised project or portfolio management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, MSP or P3O).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the EBS demand management process (STEER: Screen, Target, Endorse, Execute, Retire).
• Act as the central point of coordination for all EBS demand with stakeholders.
• Oversee end-to-end management of application change requests and defects.
• Maintain a comprehensive view of the EBS portfolio with status, milestones, risks, budgets, benefits, and delivery.
• Partner with leaders to facilitate prioritization decisions balancing demand, capacity, and objectives.
• Manage and optimize resource planning across EBS teams and partners.
• Provide governance oversight across the EBS portfolio adhering to PMO standards and processes.
• Coordinate with support providers and technical teams for timely delivery of enhancements and releases.
• Lead portfolio health reviews, identify risks and mitigation actions.
• Develop dashboards for portfolio, demand, capacity and performance for leadership.
• Prepare and deliver governance updates for committees and boards.
• Facilitate governance forums with schedules, agendas and logs.
• Support annual technology planning, budgeting, and roadmap development.
• Collaborate to ensure business cases and investment proposals align with objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement across PMO processes and reporting.
