Job summary

Avangrid seeks a Project Manager for Transmission & ISO Policy to lead policy initiatives and regulatory strategies that support transmission growth. You will guide cross-functional teams and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on complex regulatory matters across ISO-NE and NYISO.

The role emphasizes senior leadership insights, executive-style communications, and delivering high-quality materials for leadership decisions in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field and at least eight years of relevant experience.
• Experience in transmission policy, regulatory affairs, energy markets or related fields.
• FERC proceedings, transmission tariffs, or ISO/RTO market structures preferred.
• Strong understanding of utility ratemaking and transmission cost recovery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead participation in federal and state regulatory proceedings related to transmission and energy markets.
• Develop policy strategies to support transmission investment and market objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with planning, legal, finance, and operations.
• Represent the company in ISO-NE and NYISO stakeholder processes and industry groups.
• Prepare regulatory filings, reports, presentations, and executive briefings.
• Engage regulators and stakeholders in meetings, hearings and technical sessions.
• Monitor policy developments including FERC orders and energy market design.
