Job summary

P2P is seeking a Client Platforms Security Engineer based in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will work with the security team to ensure the protection of client platform infrastructure by engineering and maintaining security controls. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and extensive experience in Cybersecurity engineering while managing client OS platforms.

You will be responsible for assessing risks, implementing security measures, and coordinating updates across various platforms, ensuring the integrity of the organization's security framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Experience maintaining client OS platforms (Windows, Linux, MacOS).
• Deep technical understanding of client OS platforms.
• Strong experience in Cybersecurity engineering.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security tools and their configurations.
• Manage updates of tools when new versions are released.
• Identify solutions in the market and test viability.
• Assess risk in client platform environment.
• Identify process improvements for automation of security checks.

Skills

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Scripting/Development experience

Experience maintaining client OS platforms

Understanding of network fundamentals and protocols

Deep technical understanding of client OS platforms

Experience with endpoint security suites and frameworks

Experience in Cybersecurity engineering

Experience with leading SOAR and SIEM solutions

Education

Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
