Job summary

The Cuyahoga County Planning Commission is hiring a Manager of Planning Services to lead planning projects, supervise a team of planners, and drive urban master plans and zoning code updates in a hybrid Cleveland office.

This role manages client proposals, budgets, and deliverables while coordinating with stakeholders and county departments to ensure timely, compliant solutions. AICP credential is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban/regional planning or related field is required.
• AICP credential required or eligible for credential.
• Total 9 years of planning/urban design experience including 2 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development of strategic and tactical plans for urban master plans and zoning code updates.
• Supervise and direct Planners and related staff; manage performance and training.
• Develop proposals, contracts, budgets, and work plans for planning projects.
• Represent the Planning Commission to stakeholders and build cross-department relationships.
