Job summary

Marketlab, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, seeks a Senior Manager of Planning and Procurement to lead Demand, Supply, and Purchasing across distribution and manufacturing. This autonomous role modernizes planning architecture, improves capital usage, and ensures high product availability for major healthcare partners.

You will report to the Director of Supply Chain and drive end-to-end planning improvements, vendor performance, and cross-functional execution with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain related field.
• 8+ years of progressive supply chain, planning, and procurement experience.
• 4+ years of leadership experience managing supply chain teams.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or major ERPs) and analytical planning tools.
• Proven KPI development, planning strategy maturation, and capacity expansion experience.
• APICS or related certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Purchasing.
• Design and govern KPI framework aligning forecast, OTIF, and inventory turns.
• Oversee material replenishment strategy supporting internal manufacturing.
• Drive continuous improvement via KPI trends and root-cause analysis.
• Own service levels and ensure SLA alignment with Tier 1 distributors.
• Negotiate and secure long-term supplier capacity and dual-sourcing triggers.
• Advance planning architecture and S&OP integration with commercial teams.
• Balance working capital targets with high-item availability.
• Act as escalation point for global supply disruptions and bottlenecks.
• Partner with Sourcing and Product Management on scorecards and NPI inventory.
