Job summary

Marketlab in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking a Buyer/Planner to own the portfolio of suppliers and SKUs. You will balance daily inventory planning with purchasing execution, supporting both domestic and select international accounts while maintaining accurate data in the ERP system.

You will analyze usage and forecasts, manage POs, and collaborate with Accounts Payable and Sourcing to ensure on-time deliveries and vendor performance.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory planning.
• Experience with high-SKU distribution and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own planning and purchasing tasks for an assigned portfolio of suppliers and SKUs.
• Review ABC classifications and reorder points to maintain inventory health.
• Issue, track, and manage standard and dropship POs.
• Maintain delivery dates, expedite orders, and chase late deliveries.
• Ensure ERP attributes (lead times, ROPs, MOQs) are accurate.
• Support post-purchase activities like RTV, service, and parts ordering.
• Collaborate with AP to resolve vendor invoice discrepancies and with Sourcing on vendor performance.
