Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union seeks a Manager of Corporate Strategic Planning to lead enterprise planning, align priorities across units, and drive measurable outcomes in California. The role collaborates with senior leaders to develop and mature the strategic planning framework and reporting platforms.

You will guide SPS and Board materials, oversee executive reporting, and ensure compliance with applicable laws while partnering with Corporate Strategy to shape the team's direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field.
• Master’s Degree or relevant professional certification preferred.
• 7+ years progressive strategic planning experience in financial services.
• Strong understanding of how a financial institution operates.
• 5+ years experience leading senior professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and mature a comprehensive business unit planning framework, capturing activities, progress and outcomes.
• Mature and utilize a strategic planning platform and reporting tools.
• Partner with Corporate Strategy leadership to guide strategic direction.
• Facilitate strategic planning sessions for complex or technical areas to develop and evolve strategies.
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership to review and revise business unit plans for alignment with Mission, Vision and Goals.
• Lead ad hoc projects with urgency and cross-functional collaboration with external stakeholders.
• Create and execute Executive and Board level reporting with high quality standards.
• Coordinate materials for SPS and Board Education Sessions and collaborate across the credit union.
• Conduct research on corporate initiatives and prepare feasibility and implications reports.
• Build relationships with leaders to enable cross-functional strategic progress reporting.
• Monitor industry trends and economic forecasts to assess impact on current business model.
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal laws related to credit union compliance.
• Prepare and review reports using MS Office, performance management software and BI tools.
• Oversee staff and foster positive employee engagement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
