Apex Companies, a leading consulting and engineering firm, seeks a Principal Planner in Fort Myers, FL to lead land development and comprehensive planning projects. You’ll collaborate with clients, engineers, and architects to deliver plans that shape communities and meet regulatory requirements.

With 8+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree, you’ll manage project budgets, mentor staff, and present to municipal officials, while enjoying a strong compensation package and annual bonus

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Public Administration, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Experience in land development, site planning, or urban design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review community-wide comprehensive plans and land development codes.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and architects on planning objectives.
• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules; monitor scope changes.
• Lead and mentor design staff and coordinate team tasks.
• Present plans to municipal officials and review site plans and zoning applications.
