Apex Companies is seeking a Principal Planner to lead land development and comprehensive planning efforts in Naples, FL, guiding policy objectives and coordinating with clients and authorities to shape communities.

You will manage project scope, budgets, and timelines, mentor staff, and maintain technical knowledge while delivering high-quality plans in a fast-growing national firm renowned for development opportunities and a strong culture of collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Public Administration, Business Administration or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Confer with clients, engineering personnel, and Architects on policy objectives.
• Research and analyze site conditions, zoning requirements and development standards.
• Prepare land development plans considering vegetation, structures, roads and utilities.
• Prepare Comprehensive Plans and amendments per Florida Statutes.
• Make presentations to municipal officials regarding planning projects.
• Review site plans and zoning applications; manage project scope and budget.
• Identify and solicit potential clients and opportunities; manage proposals and invoicing.
• Develop staff through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain professional knowledge via workshops and publications.
