Job summary

Apex invites a seasoned Principal Planner to drive land use and development projects in Florida. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, prepare Comprehensive Plans, and present to municipal officials, shaping communities with focus on policy, zoning, and land development.

We value hands-on leadership, client relationships, and efficient project execution. Eligible for annual bonus; sign-on bonus of $10,000; 2,000+ national firm with 70+ locations. Role offers strong growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in planning/land development or related field.
Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Public Administration, Business Administration or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Confer with clients, engineering personnel, and Architects on policy objectives and land development programs.
Prepare land development plans considering objectives and standards.
Prepare Comprehensive Plans, Plan amendments, and Plan Updates per Florida Statutes.
Present to municipal officials on planning projects.
Assist with site plan reviews, zoning applications, and amendments.
Manage proposals, budgets, and schedules for projects.
Maintain client and vendor communications and identify new opportunities.
