Job summary

Eagle Telemedicine is seeking a Physician Scheduling Coordinator to optimize physician staffing and schedule management across assigned specialties and programs. You will match physicians to new and existing programs, develop and maintain schedules, and monitor capacity and utilization to mitigate staffing risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to interpret operational tracking reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication with physicians, partner hospitals, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage physician schedules for assigned specialties and facilities for release 60 days prior to the start of each month.
• Develop schedules in accordance with scheduling policies, contractual coverage requirements, physician availability, and minimum shift commitments.
• Escalate staffing risks and unresolved coverage issues to Operations leadership in a timely manner.
• Understand physician pod structures, program requirements, facility schedules, and physician skill sets.
• Develop productive working relationships with physicians and maintain awareness of availability, preferences, qualifications, and program assignments.
• Ensure physician availability is submitted by established deadlines and conduct timely follow-up when information is missing.
• Identify open shifts, coverage gaps, and scheduling conflicts.
• Communicate schedule completion and relevant changes to physicians, partner hospitals, account managers, and other designated stakeholders.
• Flexibility to respond to urgent after-hours scheduling needs.
