Henry Ford Health is seeking a Pharmacy Contract Sourcing Specialist to support the Pharmacy Product Line. This role focuses on system-wide standardization, regulatory compliance, and contract-driven pharmaceutical sourcing for the health system.

The position emphasizes collaboration with pharmacy leadership, vendors, and internal stakeholders to optimize pricing, inventory management, and vendor performance across Henry Ford Health’s pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years pharmacy tech in hospital/ambulatory setting)
• 3–5 years experience in medication procurement, pharmacy sourcing and inventory management
• Pharmacy technician experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of 340b preferred
• Strong computer skills and MS Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Liaise with inpatient and ambulatory clinic leaders to monitor medication purchasing and distribution discrepancies
• Identify best pricing opportunities through approved channels and vendors
• Create and manage user IDs for pharmacy purchasing software and maintain user database
• Maintain vendor and drug database in purchasing software
• Order pharmaceuticals and supplies for integrated health system care
• Meet with vendors to ensure pricing is accurate and loaded for the system
• Review and process purchase requisitions including expenses and capital requests
• Resolve discrepancies between receipts and purchase orders and investigate payment issues
