Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Pharmacy Buyer to join the Pharmacy Commodity Team. You will procure pharmaceuticals and related supplies, manage supplier pricing, and collaborate with the stockroom to maintain inventory within a large integrated health system.

Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, invoices, and recalls while ensuring formulary compliance and regulatory standards. A healthcare procurement background and strong MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of medication procurement or inventory management experience in healthcare.
• Pharmacy technician experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of 340b is preferred; strong computer skills and MS Office required.

Responsibilities

• Procure pharmaceuticals and related supplies for the organization per standards.
• Place and manage purchase orders; ensure pricing is loaded and accurate.
• Collaborate with vendors, distributors, and the pharmacy stockroom.
• Process invoices daily and resolve discrepancies per policy.
• Support recalls, inventory levels, and formulary compliance initiatives.
