Job summary

University Health is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Manager to oversee and manage pharmacy services at the assigned location, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective care for patients and staff in a dynamic environment.

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Pharmacy, the role requires a Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy, five years of pharmacist experience, and leadership capabilities to supervise teams and ensure compliance with TJC, OSHA, USP, and state boards.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Five years of experience as a pharmacist.
• Three years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to supervise teams in a matrixed environment.
• Knowledge of current pharmacy practice standards, laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, plan and manage pharmacy services in the assigned location.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, cost-effective and efficient services.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies including TJC, OSHA, USP, Texas Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Serve as liaison with patients, physicians and health care professionals to optimize patient care.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
