Job summary

Devoted Health seeks a Pharmacy Benefits Senior Manager to own pharmacy trend for our commercial book and to manage PBM relationships and contracts. You will decompose trends into unit cost and utilization, forecast PMPM, and translate insights into client actions.

You will lead PBM procurement, contract negotiations, and implementations (formulary changes, plan-design rollouts), coordinating with Finance, Legal, Clinical, Data, and HR to align pharmacy strategy with medical benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires 5-8+ years in pharmacy benefits, PBM operations, payer/managed care pharmacy, or benefits consulting with ownership of PBM contracting and drug-trend outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of PBM economics: pricing/discount guarantees, rebates, spread, formulary and UM levers, and specialty drug management.
• Proven trend management track record.
• Strong analytics foundation: fluent with claims data, financial modeling, and BI tools; able to interrogate PBM reporting math.
• Rigorous project/program management of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Working knowledge of ERISA fiduciary obligations and related transparency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the PBM relationship and contract, manage day-to-day interactions, and lead procurement and RFPs.
• Track performance and financial guarantees; conduct audits and market checks; pursue variances.
• Build and monitor pharmacy trend KPIs and forecast PMPM against drug pipeline and inflation.
• Run PBM implementations including formulary changes and plan-design rollouts; ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functionally across Finance, Legal, Compliance, Clinical, Data, and HR to integrate pharmacy with medical benefits.
• Ensure fiduciary prudence and maintain documentation for audits and committee reporting.
