Job summary

Marsh People & Investments, a leading PBM consultancy, seeks a Senior Pharmacy Benefits Consultant to lead strategic advisory for select accounts while driving delivery, design reviews, renewals, and benchmarking.

You will identify spend drivers, upsell pharmacy solutions, and negotiate competitive PBM contracts. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring of colleagues will be key to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required.
• 8+ years of consulting or related experience in pharmacy managed care.
• Superior analytical, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead strategic pharmacy advisor for mid-market and national accounts, including managing service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design review, contract renewal, business placement and benchmarking.
• Identify current provider performance gaps and make recommendations to control spend and trend.
• Upsell Mercer pharmacy solutions.
• Negotiate PBM contracts leveraging Mercer’s size and reputation.
• Lead regional and national marketing pursuits.
• Delegate to provide developmental opportunities to team members.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to project team members.
• Day-to-day account/project management for key MercerRx clients.
• Support new solutions development based on marketplace developments.
• Coordinate with pricing, clinical resources, and H&B consultants to deliver client deliverables.
• Handle quick deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Embrace AI and technology-enabled tools.
