Job summary

MathCo is seeking a Data Science Consultant with pharma commercial analytics expertise to partner with life sciences clients on data-driven solutions. You will translate business challenges into analytics frameworks, guiding executives with strategic insights and actionable recommendations.

The role requires strong consulting experience, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive capacity-building and thought leadership within the analytics practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Analytics, or related discipline.
• Master's degree, MBA, PhD, or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical consulting, commercial analytics, data science consulting, or related life sciences advisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior commercial, marketing, and brand stakeholders to understand strategic business objectives and translate them into analytics-driven solutions.
• Lead client engagements focused on pharmaceutical commercial analytics and business performance improvement.
• Structure ambiguous business problems and define analytical approaches to address key strategic questions.
• Drive discussions with senior client stakeholders and facilitate solutioning workshops, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
• Collaborate with data science, analytics, and engineering teams to ensure high-quality solution delivery.
• Develop compelling insights and business narratives that drive actionable recommendations.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Guide teams in identifying opportunities for advanced analytics, predictive modeling, segmentation, and commercial optimization.
• Mentor junior consultants and analytics team members while fostering a collaborative problem-solving culture.
• Contribute to capability building, thought leadership, and best practices within the life sciences analytics practice.
