Job summary

LA28 is seeking a Permitting Manager to lead permitting for Olympic and Paralympic venues in Los Angeles. You will oversee licenses, approvals, and regulatory compliance across city, county, state, and federal jurisdictions.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Permitting within Venue Infrastructure, you will coordinate with AHJs, contractors, and project teams to ensure timely permit readiness and effective risk management. Strong CA permitting knowledge required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of permitting, planning, construction management, infrastructure delivery, or regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing permits for large-scale construction projects, sports venues, or public events.
• Strong knowledge of California permitting processes and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with multiple government agencies and AHJs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the permitting process for venues, temporary structures, and overlays.
• Develop permitting schedules aligned with construction milestones and Games-time readiness.
• Coordinate permit reviews, inspections, and regulatory meetings with AHJs.
• Maintain permit logs, dashboards, and budgets; prepare executive status reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align permitting with operations.
