Job summary

Lovelace Westside Hospital in Albuquerque seeks a Nurse Director to provide 24-hour leadership for perioperative and related departments, aligning with Ardent Health Services’ standards.

The role oversees quality, patient satisfaction, staff development, and financial performance, mentoring leaders and collaborating with physicians to drive service excellence and safe, efficient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required. Effective 9/1/19 if applicant does not have a BSN – must be enrolled in accredited BSN program with scheduled date of completion.
• Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of 3 years’ clinical nursing experience and 1-3 years experience in management.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for quality, patient experience, physician engagement, regulatory compliance, and departmental standards.
• Develop and oversee quality initiatives, staffing/productivity guidelines, policies, and programs that support safe, effective patient care.
• Lead staff orientation, education, professional development, and ongoing competency initiatives.
• Foster a culture of empathy, collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.
