CharterUP is hiring a People Business Partner to align company goals with talent, leadership capability, and organizational design. You’ll partner with leaders to forecast needs, balance workforce planning with business priorities, and drive practical HR solutions in a fast-growing company.

You will build performance management, leadership development, and scalable People programs while handling employee relations and policy implementation with a bias for action.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of progressive HR experience, including time as an HR Business Partner or senior generalist supporting business leaders.
• Experience in fast-changing or startup environments with people programs.
• Strong business acumen linking priorities to organization and talent decisions.
• Experience with organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, and coaching.
• Hands-on employee-relations including investigations and performance improvement.
• Knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, state leave, at-will, anti-discrimination).
• SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to translate company goals into organization, workforce, and talent plans.
• Lead organizational design, workforce planning, role clarity, and leadership development with Finance and People leadership.
• Create clear career frameworks, leveling standards, and promotion criteria in partnership with People leadership.
• Use data to identify risks, recommend actions, and measure outcomes.
• Develop a scalable performance-management program and coach managers through issues and PIP processes.
• Oversee employee-relations cases end-to-end and coordinate with Legal and Payroll.
