Job summary

Oscar is hiring a People Strategy Partner to join our People Strategy team in New York. The role partners with department leaders to align strategic outcomes with company objectives and ensure roadmaps, management processes and talent are in place to achieve outcomes.

The position is based in New York City with a hybrid schedule of three in-office days per week. Base pay ranges from $135,792 to $178,227 per year, plus benefits, unlimited vacation, and annual performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• 6+ years work experience in People team roles.
• 4+ years experience with leadership principles, frameworks and industry practices related to team performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist leaders with development and maintenance of departmental strategy and mid-level outcomes.
• Support leaders in driving overall talent strategy and talent management for departments.
• Provide proactive input on consequences and implications of local law and best practices to internal stakeholders.
• Coach managers to guide their teams and handle disciplinary actions when needed.
• Influence senior leadership through synthesized themes and business needs.
• Provide strategic insights to enable leaders to anticipate future needs.
• Be a consistent thought partner on a broad set of issues with ongoing feedback.
• Support a culture of trust and open communication; train managers and employees on best practices and company values.
• Partner cross-functionally within People for new programming and change management with business stakeholders.
• Work with managers to maintain efficient organizational structures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
